2016 March 12~13, Journey - A Wonderful Stay at South Lake Tahoe (California)
太浩湖（Lake Tahoe）和優勝美地國家公園（Yosemite N.P.）是北加州我覺得最美的地方。太浩湖是位於美國加州和內華達州邊界的高山湖泊，在內華達州首府卡森城以西約10英里的地方，海拔1,897公尺，湖泊深度約500公尺，是美國第二深的湖泊，也是北美最大的高山湖泊。
這次前來Cupertino出差兩個禮拜，利用週末跟幾個同事開車到Lake Tahoe的湖畔渡假村去吃吃喝喝，從Cupertino到Lake Tahoe的距離，和從舊金山市區前往優勝美地差不多，大約都要4個多小時的車程。我們接近中午才出發，所以抵達湖畔度假村的旅館時，已經將近下午5點了，晚上一群人到Safeway買了一些肉類和生菜回去煎牛排。吃過晚餐後，大夥兒直到凌晨3點多才睡覺。隔天早上醒來打開窗，外面已是一片雪白的景色，原本計畫要去附近的滑雪場滑雪，因為大家太晚起床，加上天氣不好，附近Heavenly滑雪場的纜車也停擺，所以根本沒辦法上山，錯過了此行在美國滑雪的機會，真是殘念...
早上11點左右退房，中午大夥兒到市區的Base Camp Pizza去吃午餐，接著下午到附近的幾家賣場逛一逛。然後同事說想去Emerald Bay Overlook看一看，於是跟店家買了雪鍊掛上輪胎，但上山的路才開沒多久，就看見道路封閉的告示牌，不得已只好在這邊拍了一些照片做紀念，然後原路折返下山。傍晚雪愈下愈大，大夥兒在Safeway一人買了一隻烤雞吃，然後開車下山。等我們回到Cupertino的旅館，已經是凌晨1點了。
Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada of the United States. At a surface elevation of 6,225 ft (1,897 m), it is located along the border between California and Nevada, west of Carson City. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America.
The lake was formed about 2 million years ago and is a part of the Lake Tahoe Basin with the modern lake being shaped during the ice ages. It is known for the clarity of its water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides.
Lake Tahoe is a major tourist attraction in both Nevada and California. It is home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's economy and reputation. Mountain and lake scenery are attractions throughout the year.
